Metal Reflective Film (Al/Ag alloy)
Silver alloy film is used as a visible radiation mirror. Although silver has the highest reflectance among metals, its absorption factor is the lowest of all metals. When exposed to the atmosphere, silver adsorbs gases, decreasing the reflectance of the silver film. To avoid this problem, aluminum alloy thin films are used instead of silver alloy thin films. Aluminum has the second highest reflectance. However, an aluminum thin film needs to be protected by the addition of a dielectric protective film.

Metal Electrode Film (Cr, Al/Ag alloy)
Electrode thin films comprise a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a gate electrode as well as an address electrode, all of which configure the TFT that drives the LCD. The electrode films are composed of chromium, aluminum and silver alloy as well as tantalum, titanium, and silicon dioxide.

Photocatalyst (TiO2)
Titanium dioxide is used in products that utilize a photocatalyst effect. It is also used as a white pigment in a number of everyday products such as paints, printing inks, plastics, and cosmetics. When a titanium oxide film is exposed to sunlight or fluorescent light, a certain reaction takes place on the surface of the film.
For example, if a portion of the surface of a titanium oxide film becomes contaminated with an organic substance such as oil or soot, the fouling substance is decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. As a result, any zone that is exposed to light exhibits an antifouling (self-cleaning) effect. Also, because they are hydrophilic, titanium oxide films are used to prevent clouding of glass panels.
